Happy Birthday Kaiya Bear!

Four years old.  Four years ago we held this sweet little baby in our arms for the first time and it changed our lives forever.  Kaiya has been such an amazing gift in our lives.  She has come to us, prepared, and full of so much intelligence, determination and will power of her own. She has a creative spark that fills each day with happiness as she prances around fluttering on her tippy toes and smiling her playful song for life away with imagination and joy!

Kaiya had a wonderful day with family around her.  She played with Camdon and her cousins Bailee and Sydney all day, waiting for her party.  We had dinner, cake and presents for her with Andy, Cortney, Shawn, Kelsey, Aunt Lana, Granma and Granpa, Mom and Dad, and Camdon all here to enjoy all the excitement of being the center of attention.  She had wonderful phone calls/messages from Alaska grandma's, a song from Grandpa Engebretson, and songs from Blackburns and Bransons.  Thank you everyone for taking time to make the day so special and exciting!

She got to pick one present to open in the morning since her party wasn't until dinner.  Polka dot present to go along with her Dalmatian dog fetish. 

From Grandma Crnich.  She did put it on later and it was a struggle to get her out of it and into jammies for bed...even brand new birthday jams!

Truly, this was the biggest round layered cake I've seen.  We're without an oven so we decided to buy a cake.  We were going to make a Dalmatian cake, but we saw this at Costco and she really wanted it.  Since it was chocolate, I didn't complain, just added white spots on the top for a reverse cake.  It was incredibly huge and I have no idea what to do with the rest of it...well, a little of an idea.

She tried to bite right in...who wouldn't? 

Yes...huge pieces...there was no way to cut a small piece because it had 4 layers!  Perfect for a 4 year old I guess.

A favorite toy at the end of the party.  Flynn and Rapunzel hit it off right away.
