Project 52 Week Nine

Annie was involved in this photography thingy called "Project 52".  It sounded interesting so I dug into it a bit to find that it's a weekly assignment for a whole year through a photographer, Sandi Bradshaw.  I signed myself up to help force me into taking photos outside of my children and living room.  It's very hard to force myself out into the world since I'm such an introvert and very self conscious...and also don't know how to use my camera...yet.  This week's assignment was Black & White street shots.  Fairbanks is kind of limited on streets with much going on this time of year...however, for some reason I felt the urgh to drive to the transfer site. Sure enough, treasures can always be found there!  The perfect model (who had no idea I was watching him) was in action.  If you notice just beyond his trash bin...his dumpster diving doggie also has his head hidden and just his back end and tail are sticking out.  Not looking so forward to this week's self portrait.  :0)

Wow. I'm always amazed by people who can take pictures that create an emotional connection. I would never have seen that in real life and thought it would make a great photo - but it does! Great job! Can't wait to see more!

I like it! This week's selfie is not on my top to do list!! :o) Kate had the great idea to do some with the northern lights last night- PERFECT idea!! I'd love to not be in it, but that defeats the purpose of a selfie. Hmmmmmm... good luck with yours! :o)

How awesome! I'm so glad you're taking photos again (although I personally am a fan of the kiddos in the living room pictures)! I must admit I was afraid when I first saw the photo that those legs hanging out of the dumpster were my sons!!! You are so talented I'm glad you are sharing those talents with us. I agree with Jaime ~ I wouldn't have thought that scene would have made a great photo, but it sure does :D

I love it! What a cool shot! Very creative, and classic Fairbanks. :)
